Reveal Your Smile’s Radiance and Beauty
Your teeth do so much more than allow you to bite and chew your food. Your teeth take center stage each time you smile and speak, which is why how you feel about your smile’s appearance can have such a great impact on your self-confidence and overall sense of well-being. If you hide your smile because of staining, tooth damage, or fine lines or wrinkles on your face, cosmetic dentistry can help you create a healthy smile you love sharing.

Bioclear
Your smile is one of the most memorable features of your face. From little things like snapping selfies to more major things like connecting with an employer, client, date, or friend, your smile both communicates confidence to others and helps you tap into your own sense of self-esteem. If you don’t feel good about sharing your smile because of minor tooth imperfections or damage, Bioclear can help you improve your smile’s beauty, strength, and overall appearance.
What is Bioclear?
A modern and innovative technique, Bioclear is a noninvasive cosmetic dentistry treatment that corrects chips, breaks, “black triangles” at the gumline, and gaps between your front teeth. Similar to cosmetic dental bonding but with the aesthetic results of porcelain veneers, Bioclear can enhance your smile’s appearance or repair tooth damage in only one visit.
To guide the bonding and sculpting process, the Bioclear Matrix system uses thin, clear mylar forms to hug the targeted tooth during application. Dr. Robinson, who is currently the only dentist in Alaska certified in this technique, will inject liquid composite resin into these tooth-shaped forms. Dr. Robinson will then use a special ultraviolet light to cure the composite resin, creating a strong and long-lasting bond with your natural tooth structure. Once the composite resin is set, your treated tooth or teeth will be shaped and polished to seamlessly match the appearance of your natural teeth.
What’s the difference between Bioclear and porcelain veneers?
Material: Like Bioclear, porcelain veneers are a cosmetic dentistry treatment for addressing a wide range of cosmetic complaints. While Bioclear is made of composite resin, porcelain veneers are wafer-thin shells of tooth-colored dental porcelain that are bonded to the teeth. To create the strongest bond and most natural-looking bond appearance, a small layer of your natural tooth structure has to be permanently removed.
Tooth structure and preparation: Bioclear works by adding onto your natural tooth structure, which means less preparation than porcelain veneers, and even more significant, it is completely reversible. Before your Bioclear application, Dr. Robinson will thoroughly clean the surface of targeted teeth with a special cleaning agent to remove the natural bacterial biofilm without removing any of your natural tooth structure. This cleaning ensures no bacteria gets trapped between your Bioclear treatment and natural teeth, so your new smile is equally beautiful and healthy.
Repair, replace, or reverse: Because Bioclear doesn’t compromise the existing enamel, it is possible to reverse, which is an advantage to many patients. And because it is possible to remove, it’s also easier to repair or replace should the need arise.
Lifespan: Bioclear has a similar lifespan to veneers. Both last about ten years depending on how you care for them.
Cost: Bioclear is more affordable than veneers. Talk to your dentist to find out which option is better for you.
Professional Tooth Whitening
From the moment they come in, your adult teeth are exposed to every single thing you eat and drink throughout your entire lifetime. Along with the well-known culprits of coffee, tea, red wine, soda, and tobacco products, your teeth can even be stained by the pigmented compounds in some of your favorite healthy foods, like kale, blueberries, beets, hibiscus, cherries, and red grapes.
Additionally, tooth enamel tends to thin over time, which exposes the darker layer of dentin that lies underneath enamel. So even if you visit the dentist regularly and maintain a consistent oral hygiene routine, you may notice that your teeth become dull or discolored as you mature and age.
If you’re otherwise pleased with the shape, size, and alignment of your teeth but aren’t happy with their color or shade, Dr. Robinson can help you eliminate unsightly stains and restore your smile’s youthful luminosity with professional teeth whitening.
Professional Teeth Whitening in Wasilla, AK
In-office or at-home professional teeth whitening is a safe, simple, and affordable cosmetic dentistry treatment that can dramatically whiten your teeth and brighten your smile’s overall appearance. In-office whitening treatments use prescription-strength whitening gel to produce amazing results in a single visit. At-home professional whitening treatments use custom-made trays to evenly apply prescription-strength whitening gel to break down surface stains and lighten the shade of your natural teeth. You can typically arrive at the dramatic results you want within two weeks, all from the comfort of home.
Because treatment is overseen by a cosmetic dentist, the bleaching agents used in professional teeth whitening are more concentrated than the ones used in over-the-counter whitening treatments. Along with producing the most dramatic results in the least amount of time, professional whitening also helps ensure your safest and most comfortable whitening experience. Before your whitening treatment begins, Dr. Robinson will first ensure that your teeth and gums are healthy so you don’t exacerbate any oral health issues, weaken your dental restorations, or worsen tooth sensitivity.
Botox
Since its first FDA approval in 1989, Botox has proved to possess numerous therapeutic applications in medicine, dentistry, and cosmetic enhancement. Most commonly known for its ability to smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, other applications of Botox include improving the appearance of your lips and alleviating the painful symptoms of migraines, bruxism, and temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMD). With their ability to boost self-esteem and alleviate pain, Botox treatments can have a major impact on your quality of life and overall sense of comfort and well-being.
What is Botox?
Derived from the bacterium Clostridium botulinum and officially known as botulinum toxin type A, Botox is a neurotoxin that temporarily quiets the signals between targeted nerves and muscles. Along with alleviating painful symptoms associated with migraines, bruxism, and TMD, this temporary neuromuscular activity will also inhibit the movement of overlying skin, creating a smoother and younger-looking appearance. The results of Botox injections generally last between one and six months.
Dental Botox Treatments in Wasilla, AK
Dentistry and Botox may not initially seem like a natural match, though dentists are actually very well suited to administer Botox treatments. With extensive training in craniofacial anatomy, Dr. Robinson is especially skilled at safely administering Botox treatments and is highly trained in offering treatments that create a balanced and natural-looking facial aesthetic through cosmetic dentistry treatments.
- Smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. By temporarily inhibiting underlying muscle activity, Botox treatments can help you reveal younger-looking skin on your forehead, between your eyes, around your lips, and on the corners of your eyes (crow’s feet).
- Uplift your lips. Botox treatments can be used to temporarily minimize creases around your lips, lift the corners of your mouth, add fullness to your upper lip, and lower a high lip line that causes a “gummy smile.”
- Alleviate symptoms of migraines, bruxism, and TMD. By temporarily inhibiting muscle contractions in your jaws, Botox can help ease facial tension, reduce pain and muscle spasms, and improve jaw mobility and function.
